Sayaun Thunga Phool Ka : Nepali National Anthem

After the consistent choice on May 19, 2006, by the House of Representatives (Pratinidhi Sabha) of the Kingdom of Nepal, the old national song of praise was suspended. On 30 November 2006, the National Anthem Selection Task Team (NASTT) chose writer Byakul Maila’s tune as the new national song of praise of Nepal. The new national song of devotion was chosen from an aggregate of 1272 entries produced using the nation over. It was formally affirmed on 20 April 2007.

On August 3, 2007, Sayaun Thunga Phool Ka was authoritatively pronounced as Nepal’s national song of praise by the House of Representatives.
